Stampin Up! Table Setting Sizzix Bigz Die

Over the Christmas break I discovered the rosette  you can make with the Stampin' UP! Table Setting Die.  I've seen these rosettes all over the place and finally looked into how to make them.  For Christmas I made napkin rings for our Christmas Eve Party.

Here are a few shots of my work area.  It always gets so messy!

This is what the setting looked like.  My napkins are larger than normal so only the end would fit in the ring.
I tried inking the top edges of the rosettes to give them some dimention and separation.  The color seems to blend with itself and it's hard to see the different "petals" of the flower.  It turned out ok but not great.  I haven't tried making them out of paper yet, just felt.  I chose these colors to go along with my dinning room chairs.  To see them follow the link here to my personal blog: http://lukefam.blogspot.com/2011/03/simi-house.html

I also taught a Young Women's lesson in my Simi ward.  I made a blue rosette with white leaves.  In Young Women's blue signifies Divine Nature and white is Faith.

My lesson was entitled Motherhood, Priesthood and Saviorhood.  It was about who they really are as women.  The rosettes are on hair clips that can be used in their hair or clipped onto a shirt or purse.  I clipped it onto my favorite quote of all time and gave them as my handout.
